Although his name is first and foremost connected to Athens and Attika, Travlos’ researches and studies cover a wide spectrum of monuments of the Greek antiquity, as well as of the Byzantine and Modern era. In addition, he had greatly contributed to the restoration of ancient and Byzantine monuments, along with the preservation of historical buildings in Athens.

    • ANGELIKI KOKKOU

      Angeliki Kokkou has studied History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Athens and has received her PhD from the University of Thessaloniki. She has worked as a scientific associate at the Ministry of Public Works, documenting the monuments of Attika and Megaris, and she has taught Art History at the Faculty of Architects of the National Technical University of Greece. She served for many years as Head of the Scientific and Artistic editions of the Commercial Bank of Greece. She has written books on archaeology and art, and various articles of her are included in scientific journals, exhibitions catalogues and conference proceedings.
